Teen Charged As Adult With Attempted Murder For Baltimore Shooting, Police Say

A teen is being charged as an adult with the attempted murder of a 20-year-old man in Baltimore last month, authorities announced.

Police responded to investigate reports of a shooting near the 5400 block of Sagra Road and found the man wounded from gunfire shortly before 3:30 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 5.

He was taken to the hospital for treatment as police determined that the shooting had occurred on the 5600 block of Sagra Road.

A follow-up investigation found that the 17-year-old suspect shot the victim near the 1300 block of Woodburne Avenue before fleeing to the 5400 block of Sagra Road, where police where notified.

The teen was arrested on a warrant on Wednesday, Feb. 14 and taken to the Central Booking Intake Facility, where he was charged as an adult for attempted first-degree murder.
